Brooklyn Art Cave Presents: "Unveiled" – A Solo Exhibition by Nneka Anyikwa
June 19-21, 2025 | Brooklyn Art Cave | Brooklyn, NY
Brooklyn, NY – Emerging visual artist Nneka Anyikwa is set to unveil her first solo exhibition, Unveiled, at Brooklyn Art Cave from June 19-21, 2025. Through bold and unapologetic oil paintings, Anyikwa explores themes of identity, self-discovery, and the intersectionality of her Nigerian heritage and Blackness.
Unveiled invites viewers into an intimate visual narrative that traces the artist’s journey of reclamation and self-expression. Her latest work, Mapped in Melanin, serves as a centerpiece of the exhibition, delving into cultural duality and the beauty of self-acceptance.
"This collection is deeply personal. It’s about stepping into visibility, embracing every layer of who I am, and telling stories that have long been left unsaid," says Anyikwa.
The opening reception on June 19th will feature an artist talk, live music, and a chance for attendees to engage with the work up close. The exhibition will be open to the public throughout the weekend.
